Guest Speaker Senator Mark Leno

Senator Leno is the Chair of the Senate Budget & Fiscal Review Committee. In early June 2011, eleven bills authored by Senator Leno passed into law.

During his tenure in the Legislature, Senator Leno has fought for better schools and access to higher education, foster youth, a cleaner and sustainable environment, single-payer universal health care, improved transportation, renewable energy, safer streets and equal rights for all Californians.

Pride of Monterey County is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to providing support to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (“LGBT”) community by providing literature, events and activities. Pride of Monterey County has at least one educational event per month, as well as our signature Valentine’s Dance and July Pride celebration.
